Cindy as a Candidate
In early 2018 Cindy ran in a special election for the South Carolina Statehouse in a heavily Republican district. No Democrat had run for that seat in 18 years. Cindy ran against 4 Republicans who had the benefit of both a primary and a runoff to gain name recognition. Despite having an opponent for only 6 weeks, Cindy won 43% of the vote (exceeding Hillary Clinton's 2016 total by 11 points) and won her county, which no Democrat had ever done. She accomplished this despite raising one-seventh of the funds of her female Republican Trump-supporting opponent. Cindy knows how to push through and wants to help you win!!!
